Ranch Renovation
This ranch renovation was absolutely an amazing project to see come together. The house was built in the early 90’s overlooking a pond surrounded with beautiful trees. The client was looking for a fresh start and a new place to call home. With some modern updates and new colors, this cedar sided ranch became the perfect fit.
We worked with our client to design a new layout plan eliminating an extra doorway to the Master Suite, rearranging the bathrooms, adding accent walls, and designing a new custom stair railing.
The tired oak trim was painted a fresh and modern Kendall Charcoal in Satin Impervo Oil by Benjamin Moore. For the walls we chose Classic Gray in Regal Eggshell by Benjamin Moore which was a great neutral to complement the darker trim.
We designed two accent walls in the home. The first was the Board and Batten wall in the Master Bedroom. It was painted Kendall Charcoal to tie in with the trim. This wall made the perfect backdrop for the headboard. The second accent wall was the shiplap wall in the guest room. We painted this wall Graphite by Benjamin Moore.
We carried the color Graphite into the living room as a refresh for the wood mantle. The mantle surround was resurfaced with a gray slate tile.
The entire main floor was installed with brushed oak pattern luxury vinyl plank by Armstrong. This was a durable choice which also made a great cohesive look throughout the home. The homeowner loved the feel and look of this flooring product.
We updated the stair railing with custom cedar posts and black metal piping. This black feature complemented the other black accents throughout the space such as the black matte door hardware we chose for them.
Finally we helped our client choose some key furniture pieces such as the West Elm couch, leather chairs, and the dining room table and chairs.
